About
Welcome to Angelos 2, a gem nestled in the heart of Garden Grove, California, at 12885 Chapman Ave. This bustling eatery is more than just a place to grab a bite; it embodies the spirit of comfort food and the warmth of a community hub. With a phone call away at +1 714-750-0303, you can dive into an array of satisfying options that promise to hit the spot.
At Angelos 2, the menu is vast, catering to various tastes and cravings. Customers rave about the Friday night special pastrami burger, a standout dish praised for its flavor and generosity. This burger competes well against even the most renowned spots in the area, as confirmed by Cody Leslie's enthusiastic review. Pair it with a hefty side of fries, and you have a meal that defines indulgence.
Breakfast? Well, that's also taken care of here. Ishtiaque Ahmed can attest to the hearty breakfasts that leave you fueled for the day. From fluffy pancakes to breakfast burritos, every dish is prepared to offer that home-cooked feel, reminiscent of family breakfasts gathered around the table. Valerie Smith highlights the attentive service, where staff members ensure your coffee cup is never empty, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
Of course, not every review paints a rosy picture. Brett Endless mentions that some offerings lean toward the generic, and service consistency can be hit or miss during peak times. It's worth noting that the seating can feel cramped on weekends, which is often the case for popular spots. However, the remarkable service remains a common thread, as Lesly Castrejon praises the exceptional staff that has kept her coming back for over 15 years.
With a constant stream of customers, it's clear that Angelos 2 has carved out a beloved niche in the community. While Tim Balen observes that the food is consistently good rather than exceptional, he finds value in the generous portions of burgers and fries. The appeal lies in the homey vibe and the reliable quality that keeps patrons returning.
In conclusion, Angelos 2 is more than just another burger joint; it's a slice of casual dining that delivers hearty portions and a friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic burger or a comforting breakfast, the offerings at Angelos 2 are sure to satisfy both your appetite and your spirit. Come for the food, stay for the experience!
“ This place lives up to the reviews. We got groceries at the vons and didn't feel like cooking so checked the reviews on the burger place in the parking lot. We did the Friday night special of the pastrami burger and it was delicious! Easily as good as the hat. We also did the regular burgers which were good and they loaded us up with fries. We seriously couldn't even finish them. Sauce is extra so keep that in mind as the kids wanted ranch. We would totally come back if we were in the area ”
“ Great breakfast to last all day! ”
“ Generic. Plenty of actual good burgers within a block or two radius. Look, they have a vast menu, that's what you come here for. If you want a mediocre burger with a side of fries and two previously frozen "Tyson" brand chicken strips, this is your jam. On a positive note they do have a Pininfarina coke machine. They're syrup is turned up too high and carbonation too low so it's a but of a waste here but figured I'd mention it. This is the same copy and paste burger as every low budget "cafe", like Yellowbasket for instance. Same food supplier, same ingredients same burger. When I say copy and paste I mean it quite literally. I'd go anywhere but Here at this point. I'll try Apollo Burger up the street, I've heard good things about the bulgogi burger. Hope this helps! AVOID for good food. Welcome if you're high. Service I rated 3 stars, nothing special, nothing bad. There really isn't anything to say about it. ”
“ Better than a formal restaurant! Clean up quickly! Coffee refills checked often! Smiles when servicing! Food great, like you'd make at home! ”
“ Food is consistently good but not great, we think their pancakes are better than most other places. Their burgers and fries are worth it and are large portions. There is usually a line to order and pick up even to-go orders. Service is consistently poor to OK, in comparison to similar places. Their prices have increased in spring 2024 compared to early 2024 and late 2023 (they seem to have had several price increases in the past few years), so what was once below average is now more like average 2024 prices, and food quality has seemed to decrease. FYI Sunday mornings are probably among their busiest times ”
